Press release issued: 21 June 2017
The University of Bristol has been ranked 22nd out of almost 400 universities in Europe, according to a new league table published today [21 June].
The Times Higher Education (THE) looked at previously unpublished data drawn from the 13 separate performance indicators that make up its World University Rankings 2016/17, in which Bristol was ranked 71st globally and 9th in the UK.
It is the only international performance table to judge world-class universities across all their core missions - teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook.
